Laapataa Ladies Stars Try Viral ‘Gajagamini’ Walk, Aditi Rao Hydari Loves It
Actors Sparsh Srivastava and Pratibha Ranta from the
comedy-drama film, 'Laapataa Ladies' recently recreated the popular 'Gajagamini' walk from Aditi
Rao Hydari’s character in ‘Heeramandi’. This has been gaining a lot of
attention online.
Aditi's unique walk from the Netflix show 'Heeramandi': The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has become
a big hit on social media. Fans everywhere are copying the step, and Aditi even
did it herself at the Cannes Film Festival.
In a surprising crossover, Netflix India shared a
video on Instagram of Sparsh and Pratibha doing their version of the
‘Gajagamini’ walk. The video shows them walking down the Netflix office
corridor, each holding a sunflower. They perfectly mimic Aditi’s walk from the
song ‘Saiyaan Hatto Jao’ in ‘Heeramandi’.
Aditi saw the video and commented, “Bibbojaan
certified! Nailed it guys (with heart and smiley face emojis).”
Fans were thrilled by the collaboration. One fan
wrote, “The collab of shows we didn’t know we needed!” Another fan said, “Sparsh
did it better!” Another comment read, “This made my day!”
In a recent interview with Zoom TV, Aditi shared how
Sanjay Leela Bhansali had meticulously planned the entire shot. “He wanted the
dupatta to fall on a specific beat, the head to turn, and the sound of the
ghungroo to hit exactly on the beat. It was all his vision," she said.
